A big CoreMarine congratulations to the French government, which has launched the next phase of its offshore wind development plans!
The A010 tender call marks a powerful step forward for renewable energy in Europe, with newly designated zones for fixed-bottom and floating wind projects aimed at meeting 20% of the country's energy needs by 2050.
Key announcement highlights:
- AO10 tender: Set to launch in early 2025, AO10 will offer 9.2 GW in total capacity across five projects, including 5.2 GW for floating wind and 4 GW for fixed-bottom, in the North Atlantic, South Atlantic, and Mediterranean regions.
- Long-term goals: France has a target of 18 GW in offshore wind capacity by 2035, progressing toward a broader goal of 40-60 GW by 2050. A significant 19,000 km² has now been designated for potential offshore development, reinforcing France's commitment to clean energy.
At CoreMarine, we’re excited to bring our offshore wind experience and expertise in digitalizing engineering solutions to support France’s vision.
Our digital approach to engineering and offshore execution—applied from early project phases through to deployment—optimizes efficiency and reduces risks at every stage. We’re looking forward to playing a key role in driving the future of offshore wind in France!
