CoreMariner Alberto Herrera was part of a team using data-based simulation tools to assess all the elements and operational factors, and produce the best transport and installation logistics plan for a 47-turbine, 470 MW offshore array at a site off Brittany, in northwestern France.
The model assessed factors including weather windows, transport of mooring components including chains, connectors and drag anchors, the installation vessels available, and transport and installation costs.
