CoreMarine is excited to announce we’ve been awarded funding from El Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI) to develop a new project called 'SPSI: Spain-Korea collaboration on reducing levelised cost of energy (LCOE) and designing high-density wind farms with a floating multi-wind turbine solution' (SKILLS).

The SKILLS project, part of a Spain-Korea public funding call, brings together a consortium of technological entities from both countries. Our goal is to advance the implementation of floating offshore wind farm technologies. The project focuses on enhancing system performance and maximizing the lifetime of operational assets.

Our key objectives include:

  • Designing a floating offshore multi-wind turbine (FOMWT) system with twin 10 MW turbines.
  • Optimizing wind farm performance by managing wakes, loads, and energy production.
  • Enabling the digitalization of future wind farm systems.
CoreMarine will play an important role by leading the mooring and dynamic cable systems design, defining the criteria for the wind farm layout design, and driving the digitalisation of the preliminary design methodology for these critical systems.

We are really excited about this collaboration, driving the energy transition and the future renewable energy. Our thanks to CDTI for supporting this innovative project: stay tuned for updates, or contact us to learn more!
