CoreMarine is excited to announce we’ve been awarded funding from El Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI) to develop a new project called 'SPSI: Spain-Korea collaboration on reducing levelised cost of energy (LCOE) and designing high-density wind farms with a floating multi-wind turbine solution' (SKILLS).
The SKILLS project, part of a Spain-Korea public funding call, brings together a consortium of technological entities from both countries. Our goal is to advance the implementation of floating offshore wind farm technologies. The project focuses on enhancing system performance and maximizing the lifetime of operational assets.
Our key objectives include:
- Designing a floating offshore multi-wind turbine (FOMWT) system with twin 10 MW turbines.
- Optimizing wind farm performance by managing wakes, loads, and energy production.
- Enabling the digitalization of future wind farm systems.
